    HDPE Bottles

Are you looking for an independent supplier of HDPE Bottles who can provide you with a full service packaging solution? Look no further than Amphorea LTD. We have the widest selection of HDPE bottles across the UK market with a range of closures to enable you to practically apply your products with ease.

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a thermoplastic polymer produced from the monomer ethylene and is used in the production of plastic bottles, jerry cans and much more. HDPE is tough, has excellent chemical resistance and can be found across a whole range of UN Approved packaging making it the perfect solution if you need to house or transport hazardous materials.

Our range of HDPE bottles start at 30ml and range all the way up to a litre in a range of colours and PCR options. Each of our bottles is a cost effective and safe way to store and transport your contents while still being commercial enough to be used for a retail setting.

Our bottles can either be purchased without a cap or with a range of closures depending on your requirements. We offer a range of caps from EPE lined aluminium caps, standard screw caps, lotion pumps and much more. If you do not see your required cap on our website, please contact our sales team on [email protected] as we carry over 12’000 different SKU lines.

If you are looking to make the transition to PCR from virgin plastic, our expert sales team is on hand to manage this process for you. We have migrated many of our customers to a more sustainable option and can take a vested interest in your business success.

If you require some of our products in small quantities or single units rather than pallets, our sister company, Ampulla has a full range of exclusive products you will not find anywhere else.

  4. Sustainable Packaging

The world is changing and the race to carbon zero has started. The hunt for sustainable packaging is now required for all businesses who wish to have a longer term carbon neutral strategy.

The use of virgin plastics, while still widely used globally, have seen a decline in recent years as large corporations and small businesses alike turn to a sustainable packaging solution. So, how do you start this journey and how does it impact you?

Firstly, to start your journey, you need to have a packaging supplier which is in line with your business goals and aspirations. Simply rehashing the same old products time and time again limits innovation and provides limited value within a supply chain..

We have developed a comprehensive selection of products in either rPET or PCR plastic to enable you to transition with ease. Be this Recycled Plastic Juice Bottles or PCR HDPE Bottles. This not only gives you choice but also an additional USP to add to your company or brand.

Our dedicated account managers are experts in transitioning our customers from Virgin plastics to a sustainable option. With over 75 years of industry experience, we are able to navigate this path with you to find a solution that not only becomes more sustainable but provides actual brand value over time.

The migration to sustainable packaging has many advantages, which are not only surrounding costs. The introduction of the plastic packaging tax makes any items of predominantly plastic by weight liable for a tax. Over time, we should find that virgin plastic becomes more expensive as the world catches up with the UK.

Another advantage is the goodwill value this provides to your organisation or brand. Already, large corporations such as Coke & Nestle, have already started the migration to rPET bottles due to public demand. As the consumer moves to a more eco-friendly focus, business will follow. While transitioning can be a large undertaking for brands, the simple matter is that moving to a sustainable packaging solution is inevitable.

If you require assistance in your move to a sustainable packaging solution, then our dedicated account managers can overview this with you. Simply call 0161 367 1414.

  5. What is a Circular Economy?

The circular economy is a systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution.

But, how does this affect me and my business? Put simply, alot.

Amphorea as one of the UK’s leading distributors or Rigid Plastic Packaging understand the need to migrate to a circular model to future proof business as well as the environment.

Our environmental impact has a direct implication on how we will do business in the future, as the world moves to a more sustainable future, we are best placed to offer you a range of solutions to minimise your carbon footprint.

Offering over 9000 SKU lines, we have started migrating our products from virgin plastics to a full range of PCR & rPET. This not only escapes the plastic packaging tax but also has a positive impact on our environment. If we look at consumer requirements, the migration from virgin plastics to recycled is paramount. Wide scale changes to the mindset of not only business but the end user has driven a need for companies to be socially responsible. Making small changes through your packaging can have untold benefits to the goodwill value of your company.

Our account managers are experts at developing packaging solutions to benefit business. We have partnerships with the finest producers of plastic packaging across Europe and the wider world, which allows us to provide the highest quality products at the lowest cost. Moreover, if you require a bespoke solution working in partnership with experts who understand the demands of consumer requirements, while crafting a large packaging investment provides a sustainable future. At Amphorea, we heavily invest in understanding our customer and the specific requirements they have. This allows us to tailor our approach to your needs and practical applications of your products.

If you would like more information on how we can improve your packaging solution and move you to a more sustainable model, contact our account managers today on [email protected].

  6. Plastic Packaging Tax

The Plastic Packaging Tax came into force on 1 April 2022 and is charged at a rate of £200 per tonne. But, what does this mean for you and your business and more importantly, how can Amphorea Packaging make this process seamless for you?

Firstly, we will start by outlining what the Plastic Packaging Tax actually is. According to the UK Government, “This is a tax that will apply to plastic packaging manufactured in, or imported into the UK, that does not contain at least 30% recycled plastic. Plastic packaging is packaging that is predominantly plastic by weight.  It will not apply to any plastic packaging which contains at least 30% recycled plastic, or any packaging which is not predominantly plastic by weight. Imported plastic packaging will be liable to the tax, whether the packaging is unfilled or filled.”

So with the above in mind, what options do we have? Here at Amphorea we believe in giving you the choice to make an objective decision when it comes to your packaging requirements.

The Plastic Packaging Tax has implications across all plastic items if they are predominantly plastic by weight, so if you do decide to continue to use virgin plastic this tax will apply to you. We believe that you should have all of the pricing for your total order in one place, so when you buy from Amphorea Packaging, your invoice will reflect the total price of the product with all tax included. This ensures that you have the full costing of your investment from the start without additional suprises.

The Plastic Packaging Tax covers a range of items, including HDPE bottles, PET Bottles and Stackables to name a few. While we understand the need to transition to a more circular economy regarding plastic packaging, currently it is not feasible for all customers.

With the transition in mind, we are working to bring you a wide range of PCR & rPET options, which can be used as an alternative while still providing you with the highest quality of products.

Our experienced Account Managers are on hand if you require assistance moving your current packaging to a more sustainable option. They have vast experience in developing a partnership to ensure that your transition is seamless.

As the UK and Europe move towards a more sustainable packaging model, we will find that the requirement to have recycled packaging becomes a must rather than a luxury. We will continue to create a comprehensive stock package to ensure our customers have access to their required packaging at all times.

Please contact our sales team on [email protected] if you would like more information regarding moving to a sustainable packaging solution.
